Every person who does not enjoy physical health should have the right to decide about one’s life and receive help from a professional, agreed specialists from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), during the extraordinary session of the Permanent Seminar on Bioethics.
During this event a presentation was made Proposed bill to legalize euthanasia and medically assisted death in Mexico City (CDMX), which will be sent to the Congress of the capital of the country by the Association Freedom to Die AC
This initiative was supported by the advice of philosophers, doctors, psychologists and lawyers from UNAM.

Lawyer Pedro Isabel Morales Aché, member of the Association Freedom to Die AC, pointed out that Euthanasia should not be considered illegal or immoralas many groups think, especially doctors, because one of the main barriers is not the churches, but the health personnel who need to be educated.
According to a statement, the Research Coordinator of the Department of Psychiatry in the area of Psychiatry and Mental Health at UNAM, Ingrid Vargas Goicoechea, stressed that death is a natural phenomenon that we will experience sooner or later, and today, thanks to technological advances and medicine, life can be prolonged.
For this reason, the expert considered that today more than ever It is important to discuss how we want to leave lifeThere is much to be done in this regard; there are areas that have taken action in this area, and furthermore, it is necessary to analyze, discuss and regulate.
