Francesco Atzori and the SR&R team confirmed themselves as great performers in the Cavallino-Tridente Class of the Ultimate Cup, staged last weekend in Portimão.
After the successes achieved at Paul Ricard in the category reserved for Ferrari and Maserati, the 488s of the team founded by Manfredi Ravetto and Paolo Ruberti were also protagonists in the Troféu GTS in the Algarve.
In Race 1, the victory went to Fédéric Lacore at the wheel of the 488 Challenge entered by Racing Spirit of Leman, finishing fifth overall, while Lyle Schofield took second place in the same Maranello car branded SR&R and marked with the #353. crossing the finish line 11th overall.
‘Aramis’, Atzori’s teammate, did not start in his 488 GT3 Evo.
Atzori’s show began in Race 2, when the SR&R driver set the fastest lap in 1’43″022 and won by a wide margin overall, beating a couple of Lamborghinis and Lacore’s Ferrari, while Lourenço Monteiro he took the wheel of the 488 #353, finishing sixth overall and third in his category.

In Race 3 the headlines regarding the Cavallino Tridende Cup went to Schofield, author of an unrivaled performance given that the boy from SR&R obtained second place overall, while Lacore was brought up in 13th position . Again, he did not take part in the ‘Aramis’ race.
Atzori once again swept up the trophies and honorable mentions with the fastest lap in Race 4, stopping the clock at 1’43″363, giving his rivals well over 17″.
Lacore is 2nd and on the overall podium, while Monteiro is out of the running.
