Ukrainian nationalists tried to disrupt a rally in memory of the defenders of Stalingrad in Paris
A group of Ukrainian nationalists tried to disrupt a rally organized on Saturday, February 4, in Paris by the French communists in honor of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet army at Stalingrad. This is reported TASS.
After the start of the demonstration, provocateurs with Ukrainian flags appeared on the Paris square of the Battle of Stalingrad. They tried to drown out the speeches of the participants in the action in memory of the defenders of Stalingrad. The police arrived at the place of the rally, direct clashes were avoided.
After the incident, the demonstration continued, with the participation of about 100 French, Italian, Spanish communists, as well as representatives of associations of compatriots.
Earlier, residents of Krakow were outraged by the demonstrations of Ukrainians on the main square of the city and called on the authorities to put an end to the pickets. Dissatisfaction with regular pickets was expressed by nationalists from the 16 Postulates movement. They demanded that the city authorities take action and stop the “virtual occupation”.
