As reported by the major Italian agencies, Matteo Renzi resigned from the board of directors of Delimobil, which has its registered office in Luxembourg and which was founded by the Neapolitan entrepreneur Vincenzo Trani. Trani has been living in Moscow for 20 years and is president of the Italian-Russian Chamber of Commerce. These are certainly tense hours regarding his business activities, and Renzi, who has a personal relationship with him, has nevertheless decided to join the campaign of European sanctions that aim at Russia’s economic isolation.
Delimobil, founded seven years ago in Moscow, is today the leading car sharing and rental operator in the Russian capital, better placed than rival Yandex.Drive. The company has a fleet of over 18,000 vehicles.
