FT: Ukrainian leadership is dissatisfied with Energy Minister Galushchenko
Officials in Ukraine’s political leadership criticize the country’s current Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko. The publication reports this Financial Times.
According to the publication, civil servants are unhappy with the Ukrainian head of the department because of his desire to increase the pace of construction of large and expensive nuclear reactors instead of small power plants. The construction of the first takes up to several years.
The Ministry of Energy began construction of small power plants only this year. However, according to the Financial Times, plans for their construction are not shown for security reasons.
Earlier, the ex-head of the national company Ukrenergo, Vladimir Kudrytsky, said that the office of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky wants to put the energy system of Ukraine under its control. According to him, such an approach could lead to the collapse of the energy system.
