The OP of Ukraine called publications about possible territorial concessions nonsense
The Office of the President (OP) of Ukraine called information about possible territorial concessions to Russia in exchange for security guarantees from NATO nonsense. According to Telegram– channel of the publication “Strana.ua”, this is how the country’s authorities spoke about the publication of the Financial Times, dedicated to the supposedly ongoing negotiations between Ukraine and its allies.
“This is nonsense. There is no such conversation at all. No one in the West has officially and explicitly offered Ukraine such security guarantees that would definitely prevent the expansion or repetition of war,” journalists quote a source in the President’s Office as saying.
The publication’s interlocutor also complained that Kyiv’s allies are afraid to even grant Ukraine the right to launch deeper strikes with long-range weapons. He noted that Ukraine “does not trade sovereignty and territories.”
Earlier, the Financial Times published material claiming that Ukraine is discussing with its allies the prospects of territorial concessions to Russia and recognition of the loss of Donbass. In exchange, Kyiv can supposedly receive NATO membership and, as a result, security guarantees.
