The politician said that Ukraine’s allies should stop debating the matter and stop hesitating. According to Frederiksen, the “main red line” was crossed with the start of the special military operation. At the same time, she expressed deep conviction that lifting restrictions on strikes on Russian territory will not lead to escalation and will not draw Western countries into the conflict.

Meanwhile, Italian Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Antoni Tajani has made it clear that the country’s authorities will not support lifting restrictions on Ukraine’s strikes with Western long-range weapons deep into Russia. According to him, Italy’s position will not change, despite calls from the European Parliament.

Putin warns West of consequences
As Russian President Vladimir Putin stated, allowing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike deep into Russia with Western long-range weapons would mean direct involvement of NATO in the conflict. “We are not talking about allowing the Ukrainian Armed Forces to strike with Western high-precision long-range weapons on Russian territory, but about making a decision on direct participation of NATO countries in the conflict,” he said.
