KIEV (Reuters) – Ukrainian military officials said on Thursday that 20 Russian helicopters and planes had dropped paratroopers at Hostomel airport in the Kiev region, where forces on both sides were fighting for control.
Ukrainian forces were fighting Russian invaders across nearly the entire perimeter of the country on Thursday after Moscow launched a mass attack by land, sea and air, the biggest attack on a European state since World War II.
