The twelve Russian diplomats at the United Nations who will have to leave the United States by 7 March were expelled because “intelligence agents”
of Moscow and therefore because of their alleged engagement in “activities that do not conform to their responsibilities and obligations as diplomats”. This was stated by Ambassador Richard Mills, Deputy United States Representative to the United Nations during a meeting of the United Nations Security Council.
