Russia’s offensive in Ukraine widens. In the 18th day of war Moscow has attacked the military base of Yavoriv, near the border with Poland. According to the governor of the Lviv region the raid has hit the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security causing 9 deaths and 57 injuries. 30 rockets would have been launched against the base.
According to the deputy from Lviv, Igor Zinkevych, the explosions were caused by the Ukrainian anti-aircraft that went into action against Russian missiles. “All military units are functioning at their maximum, further information will be provided by the governor of the region,” he said.
An air base in Ivano-Frankivsk also hit, in western Ukraine. According to the mayor of the city, Ruslan Martsinkiv, quoted by the Kyiv Independent, the airport was the target of the Russians for the second consecutive day. Martsinkiv then urged people living in the area to leave.
