Podolyak: Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on Kursk region will strengthen Kyiv’s position in negotiations with Russia
The attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Kursk region should have a positive impact on potential peace talks between Ukraine and Russia and will strengthen Kyiv’s position. This was reported by the adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak, reports “Strana.ua“.
According to him, the aim of the attack was to intimidate the region’s population and demonstrate Kyiv’s determination in potential negotiations.

Earlier, the Russian Armed Forces prevented the advance of Ukrainian servicemen in the Kursk region. The active actions of border guards, as well as reserves that approached the border, helped prevent the advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Before that, a thousand Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters began an offensive on the Kursk region on August 6. According to the General Staff, the Ukrainian military attacked the region “with the aim of capturing a section of the Sudzhansky district.”
