Update from Saturday, July 2, 6:45 a.m.: Ukrainian forces have apparently again inflicted a heavy loss on Russia. According to the Ukrainian Operational Command “South”, Ukrainian soldiers have attacked two ammunition dumps in the Kherson region, destroying a Russian-controlled “Forpost” drone worth seven million dollars in the Mykolaiv region.

This emerges from a draft federal law that the Kremlin presented to the Duma on June 30. Like the news magazine Newsweek reports that there is an increased need for the repair of weapons and military equipment as part of “a special military operation in the regions of the Donetsk People’s Republic, the Luhansk People’s Republic and Ukraine”. Among other things, the bill provides for “the use of material assets from state reserves” and “the temporary activation of capacities and facilities for mobilization” as well as overtime in “individual organizations”.

+++ 3 p.m.: Apparently, Ukrainian troops were able to liberate the village of Potiomkino in the Kherson region. This is reported by the news portal Kyiv Independent. The soldiers of the 60th Infantry Brigade reported that they carried out a “successful offensive” and destroyed several Russian tanks and armored personnel carriers and regained control of Potiomkino.
