Enrico Letta is ridiculed, again, in a poster posted for Rome: the criticism, from the far left, comes towards the secretary of the Democratic Party criticized for his position towards the war in Ukraine.
The posters are back in Rome, where Enrico Letta, secretary of the Democratic Party, is described as a warmonger, ready to do anything to support NATO and go against Putin’s Russia.
Read as Mussolini in the manifesto
If earlier this month the dem leader was depicted with a (fake) helmet ready to “enlist” and “enlist” for the conflict in Ukraine, now pro-war mottos are written next to Letta’s photo and the famous phrase is reported by Mussolini on 10 June 1940 to announce Italy’s entry into World War II. The famous expression with which the Duce declared war on France and England was “Win and we will win!”. Phrases obviously never said by the secretary of the Democratic Party, but which were written close to his face in the poster published in Rome over the weekend. On the photo we read: “The word is one, categorical and binding for all. It has already flies and lights the hearts of the Alps to the Indian Ocean: WIN! And we will win, to finally give a long period of peace with justice to all ‘Italy, to Europe and to the world “. At the top, in large letters, it says: “Believe in NATO, Obey NATO, Fight for NATO”.
Criticism from the far left
The creators of the manifesto therefore wanted to harshly criticize the position taken by Letta (and by the whole party) towards the conflict in Ukraine, suggesting an opening that is too evident in Italy’s possibility of taking sides in war against Russia. A Democratic Party accused, by the far left, of having lost the values of peace and of acting out of “interest”.
The second “episode” of the posters against Letta causes discussion on social media and there is no shortage of those who took the side of those who made the manifesto. There are many on the left who do not share the position of Letta too “atlantist” and too pro-American. A position that they fear could affect Italy’s position towards a possible future entry into the conflict in support of Ukraine.
