Ukraine | Commander of the British Armed Forces: Russia has lost almost a third of its land combat capability

The war in Ukraine has claimed tens of thousands of deaths, but the numbers have been vague throughout the conflict for both Russia and Ukraine. Britain’s assessment seems to be in line, especially with Ukraine’s accounting.

Ukrainian 50,000 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded in the war so far, said the commander of the British armed forces, Admiral Tony Radak too for the BBC.

Radak also spoke on the subject of BBC One in the morning program, and reports on comments, among other things The Guardian.

Radakin said in the interview that Russia has lost almost a third of its ground combat capability. According to the admiral, because of this, Ukraine “absolutely” believes that it will win the war.

“They [ukrainalaiset] are absolutely certain that they’re going to retake all their territory in Ukraine, and they’re facing a Russia that’s struggling — a Russia that we estimate has lost more than 30 percent of its ground combat capability,” Radakin said.

However, the assessment is difficult, as Russia does not publish total figures for the number of its fallen soldiers. At the very beginning of the conflict, the Russian Ministry of Defense did not even officially acknowledge the deaths of Russian soldiers in Ukraine.
