Ukraine temporarily closed checkpoints on the border with Belarus and Russia. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal, reports TASS.
“Very important point. Citizens of Ukraine who are on the territory of these countries and wish to return home will be able to enter Ukraine calmly and without hindrance,” Shmyhal said.
On February 24, Russia launched a special military operation to liberate Donbass. President Vladimir Putin noted that it was a response to requests for military assistance received from the leaders of the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics (DPR and LPR).
