The heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Office of the President of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba and Andriy Yermak discussed with the US National Security Adviser Jacob Sullivan the Donbass and preparations for the meeting between the leaders of the United States and Ukraine, Joe Biden and Volodymyr Zelensky. The meeting took place in Washington DC. It is reported that the parties discussed the joint efforts of Ukraine and the United States in a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbass.
“The Ukrainian and American sides also discussed the development of the situation in the east of our state and the joint efforts of Ukraine and the United States in the peaceful settlement of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. Particular attention is paid to expanding the strategic partnership of the two countries and reforms in Ukraine, ”the statement says.
A meeting between Biden and Zelensky is scheduled for August 30. The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has already arrived in the US capital to prepare for the summit.
Earlier, Dmitry Kuleba announced a meeting of the two leaders “without raised voices and blackmail.”
