Believe it or not, “Ugly Betty” is a few days away from leaving Netflix, after years of reign. However, the successful Colombian telenovela will arrive on the Panamericana TV channel very soon, which is why —at least to the delight of Peruvian fans— it will be available for free and on an open signal. However, many are unaware that there is “Ecomoda”.
As is known, the original series had and still enjoys great fame. For this reason, thousands of fans still ask that the production be broadcast on the small screen, in the traditional way. Still, hardly anyone talks about the sequel.
With nearly 30 chapters, “Ecomoda” brought us closer to the married life of Betty and Armando, just two years after the end of its original story was broadcast. Clearly, it failed to top its first season.

Why didn’t “Ecomoda” work?
When a series is very successful, it is likely that its makers decide to renew the story, with what they believe will be a promising sequel. Such was the case of Fernando Gaitán, the creator of “Betty, la fea”, with “Ecomoda”.
However, it didn’t work as expected. Thus, the Millennium portal points out that this failure was largely related to the absence of actresses Natalia Ramírez and Lorna Cepedawho gave life Marcela Valencia and Patricia Fernández, respectively.

In fact, the character of Ramírez did not have a specific closure in the plot and —both she and Cepeda— signed a contract with Telemundo, for which they did not resume their roles in the announced continuation of the fiction starring Ana María Orozco (Beatriz Pinzón ) and Jorge Enrique Abello (Don Armando).
“We were already very tired. We were really exhausted. We had been recording for two and a half years and we had told Gabriel Reyes (president of RCN at the time) that we were leaving in four months, ”the actress shared behind Marcela, in dialogue with the journalist Carlos Ochoa.
“Our last day on set was when we said goodbye in the elevator. I left on a Friday and on Monday I was in Miami recording. We did that crazy thing,” she added.

Where to see “Ecomoda” complete?
With everything mentioned above, the Infobae portal explains that Netflix would not have wanted to bet on a product that could not continue with the success of its predecessor, which is why it failed to open a space in streaming.
However, if you are one of the faithful fans who want to give it a new opportunity, you can find the complete episodes of “Ecomoda” on the online portal of the RCN channel. You just have to access to the following link.
