The governments of the UAE and the Kingdom of Eswatini signed a cooperation agreement to exchange expertise in the fields of government development and modernization, as part of the initiatives of the UAE Government Knowledge Exchange Program aimed at transferring and exchanging expertise and sharing best practices with governments around the world, and within the framework of the program’s orientation to expand its partnerships with countries of the African continent.
The agreement was signed by Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, Director General of the Prime Minister’s Office, and Savanna Mazia, Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Kingdom of Eswatini.
Omar Sultan Al Olama stressed that enhancing international cooperation and expanding the frameworks of partnership in knowledge and expertise with countries of the world represents a major direction for the leadership of the UAE, which adopts expanding the scope of partnerships and international cooperation aimed at enhancing government work experiences and promoting the exchange of knowledge and best expertise, which positively reflects on governments and the quality of life of societies.
He said: The partnership with the government of the Kingdom of Eswatini represents a new addition to the UAE government knowledge exchange initiatives, which are widely spread across the continents of the world, and have achieved positive results in supporting governments seeking to develop and modernize government work and management methodologies, by benefiting from the best experiences, practices and success stories achieved by the UAE in this field, pointing out that the partnership will contribute to opening up horizons of development opportunities for the government of Eswatini, through knowledge exchange, strengthening government management, and empowering cadres and community members with the tools of the future.
For her part, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology of the Kingdom of Eswatini expressed her country’s pride in signing the Memorandum of Understanding with the UAE.
Savanna Mazia said: “The agreement will open up horizons for cooperation between the two countries in many technological fields, which will contribute to supporting bilateral relations, improving economic opportunities and enhancing the quality of life for citizens in the two countries.”
The areas of cooperation covered by the agreement focus on exchanging expertise, experiences and best practices to build government capacities in various fields, including digitization, digital economy, artificial intelligence, innovation, education, programming, business incubators, tourism, culture, and others.
The axes of cooperation between the governments of the two countries include government services, smart services, government performance, innovation and excellence, building leadership capabilities, foreseeing the future, and strategic planning and management.
