In Kursk region, two power engineers were injured in an attack by a Ukrainian drone
Two employees of Rosseti Centre were injured in an attack by a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the border in the Kursk region. This was reported by the company’s press service in Telegram-channel.
Power engineers were carrying out repair work when the Ukrainian drone attacked. The drone was suppressed by electronic warfare (EW) systems, causing the aircraft to fall and end up in a hydraulic lift.

“As a result of the explosion, the specialists received shrapnel wounds of varying severity. They were saved from more serious injuries by bulletproof vests and self-defense actions,” the statement says. It emphasizes that doctors provided the victims with all necessary assistance. The power engineers were awarded the medals “For Services to the Kursk Region” of the 3rd degree.
Earlier, the head of the Akhmat special forces, Apti Alaudinov, announced Russia’s advance in the Kursk region. According to him, the military personnel have regained control of two settlements in the Sudzhansky district – Darino and Nikolayevo-Daryino.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces invaded the Kursk region more than a month ago, and a federal state of emergency and a counter-terrorist operation (CTO) regime were introduced in the region. On September 11, Russia launched a counteroffensive in the Kursk region. After the invasion of the region, the Defense Ministry stated that the CTO had acquired a “new dimension.”
