Two women aged 51 and 78 were injured this Tuesday night after suffering a traffic accident in La Alcayna. Two vehicles were involved in the incident, in one of which the two women were trapped, requiring the intervention of firefighters to free them.
The 112 Region of Murcia Emergency Coordination Center received several calls starting at 8:35 p.m. reporting a traffic accident with trapped people that occurred on Avenida Picos de Europa, in the La Alcayna urbanization, in the municipality of Molina de Segura.
Local police officers from the Molina de Segura City Council, firefighters from the Fire Extinction and Rescue Consortium of the Region of Murcia and two ambulances from the Emergency and Sanitary Emergencies Management 061 (a Mobile Unit for Emergencies and non-assistance ambulance).
After the firefighters managed to free the two trapped women, they were stabilized by the toilets and, later, transferred to the Morales Meseguer General University Hospital with multiple contusions.
