One of the victims was trapped in the vehicle and had to be rescued.
Emergency health services treated and transferred to the hospital a man and a woman who were injured this Saturday afternoon in a traffic accident in Yecla.
The 112 Emergency Coordination Center of the Region of Murcia received a call at 4:46 p.m. reporting the accident, which occurred on the bypass of the cemetery towards the Yecla industrial estate. According to the witness, a car collided with a lamppost and its occupants were trapped.
Agents from the Yecla Local Police traveled to the scene of the event and were able to remove one of the people who were inside the car. The other occupant of the vehicle was also injured but was not trapped.
Firefighters from the Fire Extinction and Rescue Consortium (CEIS) of the Region of Murcia and two ambulances from the Emergency and Health Emergency Management 061 also traveled. One of them transferred the 43-year-old man to the Virgen del Castillo hospital, while the other vehicle moved the woman, about whom more information is unknown so far.
