Two people have died and three others have been seriously injured in a traffic accident that occurred last night on the Paseo Marítimo de Fuengirola (Málaga).
Police sources have indicated to 112 that the event occurred when a tourism crashed with a lamppost due to speeding, overwhelmed the terrace of a pizzeria and finally collided with another vehicle, whose occupants have not suffered damage.
The same sources have confirmed that the 47 -year -old tourism co -pilot, and a 25 -year pedestrian has died in the accident. In addition, the driver of the car, a baby and three men, two of 50 years and one of 42, have been injured, the three adult men in serious condition.
The vehicle was driven by a 45 -year -old woman of Iranian nationality, which was identified by the Local Police upon arrival. After practicing the relevant tests, he tested positive for alcohol, and also, he was not in possession of any driving license, as indicated by the City of Fuengirola. As a consequence of all this, it was arrested by the agents accused of the commission of two homicides for serious recklessness, injuries due to serious recklessness, as well as a crime against road safety for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The 112 phone received, minutes after 9.30 pm, the first of the numerous notices of individuals who reported that a car had overwhelmed the terrace of a restaurant and that it had hit several people on the Paseo Marítimo Rey of Spain.
Immediately, the Coordinating Center activated the Sanitary Emergency Center 061, to the Local Police, the Firefighters and the National Police.
The City of Fuengirola has lamented the incident in X, where he has pointed out that the deceased male was a native of Seville.
