Several operators have been injured in the accident and two others have come out unharmed
An explosion at the Cerredo mine, in the Asturian municipality of Degaña, has caused the death of two people. Four operators have been trapped inside, as ABC has confirmed, and three others have been injured. Two of the workers have left the accident unharmed.
Two of the injured have been transferred to the Villablino Health Center, in León and from there to the reference hospital centers, one in the sanitary helicopter and the other in a basic life support ambulance. The third injured has been transferred in the ambulance to the Hospital de Cangas del Narcea.
The SAMU maintains the Degaña Primary Care Team, two UVI-Mobile with its corresponding health team, a conventional ambulance and two groups of groups.
In addition, the rescue group with the medicalized helicopter of the SEPA and also the other two multifunction helicopters of the autonomous body, one to move to the Mining Rescue Brigade from the Fondón well and the other to move to the personal place of intervention, among others, the canine unit.
From the Government Delegation in Asturias, the accident is still “concerned.”
We continue with concern the accident at the Zarréu mine, in Degaña. In the area, firefighters from Asturias, the Hunosa Mining Rescue Brigade and the Civil Guard are already deployed.
