The actions began last March, when within the routine parcel control services carried out in transport agencies, civil guards specialized in Judicial Police detected several packages destined for the German city of Hamburg, suspected of containing narcotic substances. .
The Benemérita officers inspected the packages, sent by a resident of Alguazas, which, in principle, only contained furniture, but these had double artisanal bottoms enabled where up to 24 packages of vacuum-packed marijuana buds were hidden inside, with a total weight of 13,500 kilograms and which were seized.
The civil guards then began an investigation to determine the people behind the drug trafficking crime discovered.
As a result of the investigation, Judicial Police specialists identified two people who were allegedly behind the discovered drug trafficking, one of them responsible for the illicit substance and another for shipping the drugs hidden in furniture.
Both were finally located and arrested as alleged perpetrators of crimes against public health, for drug trafficking. Furthermore, there was a judicial arrest warrant for one of them for other reasons.
