The driver from Cesena involved in the accident with Dani Pedrosa which caused the temporary suspension of the Styrian GP. So much fear and injury for Savadori that he aims to return to Silverstone
Trouble in the Aprilia house for Lorenzo Savadori. The Italian driver was involved in an accident in the opening stages of the Styrian GP which caused the temporary suspension of the race due to the presence of debris and burning liquids on the track. In the impact with Dani Pedrosa’s KTM, the rider from Romagna remedied the fracture of the malleolus, an injury which, as stated in the Aprilia press release, will require a surgical operation that will force him to skip the second round at the Red Bull Ring next week. The goal for the Noale team is to have Savadori back for the Silverstone GP scheduled for the weekend of 27-29 August.
The accident involved Lorenzo Savadori and Dani Pedrosa, wild card for Ktm for the double appointment at Spielberg. The Spaniard crashed at the exit of turn 3, remaining with his bike on the trajectory without leaving any chance for Savadori’s Aprilia to avoid the impact. Great flight for Cesena and flames on the track due to the spill of fuel from Pedrosa’s bike which caused the temporary exposure of the red flag and, therefore, the suspension of the race. After the stewards intervened, the green light was again given and the competition resumed regularly.
