Important numbers for Triangle Strategy.
While Square Enix works to improve Babylon’s Fall and deal with problems with Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin (especially on PC), has found good success with Triangle Strategy. Developed by Artdink and led by Tomoya Asano of Bravely Default, both units shipped and downloads worldwide are nearly 800,000. The tactical RPG launched on March 4th for the Nintendo Switch.
Additionally, the game’s official Twitter account reveals that over 200,000 copies shipped and downloaded come from Japan and other regions of Asia. By comparison, Bravely Default 2 sold nearly a million copies in its first six months on the Nintendo Switch. Octopath Traveler reached one million units worldwide in the first three weeks.
Currently exclusive to Switch, Triangle Strategy tells the story of three countries: Glenbrook, Aesfrost and Hyzante. Previously involved in the War of Salt and Iron, they now share a restless peace, until one day, Aesfrost invades Glenbrook. As Serenoa of House Wolfhort, the player must fight their way through conflict, making tough decisions and fighting turn-based pitched battles.
