The metropolitan area there have been several detours on the major exits due to slippery weather on Saturday afternoon.
It is reported from the Helsinki Rescue Department that, for example, several accidents have occurred on the Porvoonväylä, although personal injuries had been avoided at least in the afternoon. The Central Uusimaa Rescue Department in Vantaa has also investigated several traffic accidents.
Rescue services are reminded that it is now worth reducing speeds in road transport. There are currently warnings for both motorists and pedestrians due to slippery weather.
Driving device is estimated to be poor in almost all of the country, except in northernmost Lapland, due to icy rain and snowfall.
Pedestrians, on the other hand, are warned of slipperiness in Uusimaa, Kanta-Häme, Päijät-Häme and Kymenlaakso, as there is ice and water on the sidewalks in many places.
