The incentive on public transport passes: everything you need to know
September 1st is the day of click day to get the transport bonus. The incentive is provided for the purchase of an annual or monthly pass for public transport. The objectives of the measure are to encourage sustainable mobility and give concrete help to workers and students.
The application for the facility can be submitted starting from 8.00 in the morning through the specific site prepared by the Ministry of Labor on the web platform bonustrasporti.lavoro.gov.it. To access the application it is necessary SPID or the Electronic Identity Card (CIE) and the fiscal Code of the beneficiary, for example the parent can request the bonus for the minor child.
The bonus may be requested by individuals who, in the year 2021, have achieved a income total not exceeding 35,000 euros. The benefit can be requested for oneself or for a dependent minor beneficiary. The bonus is not transferable and does not affect the calculation of the ISEE.
The ministry underlines that “the voucher is valid for the purchase of season tickets for local, regional and interregional public transport services or for national rail transport services”. First class, executive, business, executive club, lounge, premium, working area and business lounge services are excluded. The contribution will cover up to 100% of the costs incurred, within the maximum limit of 60 euros.
The application can be submitted by December 31st. The voucher should be redeemable directly at the ticket offices. The service manager must check the validity of the voucher on the platform and only at that point will he be able to make it possible to use it.
