Culiacán, Sinaloa.- The agenda of accountability does not exempt any entity, not the Executive Power, nor the autonomous bodies, all those who manage public resources are bound by a constant and permanent process of accountabilityhighlighted Sergio Mario Arredondo.
The deputy of the Supervisory Commission of the Sinaloa Congress said that, if there is any element to prove that the State Government has some co-responsibility with the debt that the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (UAS) has with the SAT, As the rector of this institution says, the Secretariat of Transparency will have to account for it.
But also, added the deputy, it would be very important that the Internal Control Bodies that have by law all the Powers, such as the Executive and Legislative Powers, and the Autonomous Bodies, give an account of what elements they find on this subject. in the period that is being marked and, if there are elements, then move on to what a review process can do in terms of the Superior State Audit Office.

“It would be very important that the Secretariat of Transparency also realize what is happening or what is the condition of this issue in reference to the commitments that the state Executive has with the UAS.”
In the same sense, the deputy Cecilia Covarrubias, of the Commission of Transparency of the Congress of Sinaloa, said that the debt of the UAS is an issue that must be made clear to society.
“The SAT is the national collector and no one escapes from it, it is very punctual with the operations and, if it says that the UAS has a debt of 1,500 million and the rest accumulated interest to generate an amount of 2 billion pesos , I think it’s time to make a clarity to society “.

He made it clear that, as a Commission, they would be submitting a request to the Superior State Audit so that it informs Sinaloans about the condition of the debt that the highest house of studies in Sinaloa may have with the contribution of taxes.
“The SAT says that the debtor is the UAS, so the State Government is out of the question; because if he were the debtor, then the requirement would go to him, and the rector’s statement is out of context, because the SAT knows very well who owes him and who to collect from him, ”he added, noting that the debt is the exclusive responsibility of the educational institution .
However, he said, the sensitivity of the governor, Rubén Rocha Moya, makes him seek a solution for the most important university in the northwest of the country.
“It should be very specific what the mismanagement was, because it is not a minor amount that shows financial and administrative mismanagement,” he added.
He made it clear that, although the UAS is an autonomous body, receives public resources and therefore is obliged to make transparent his administration to all Sinaloans.
For her part, Juana Minerva Vázquez, local deputy, member of the Public Finance and Administration Commission, said that, respecting the autonomy of the UAS, it is necessary for the Finance Commission to hold a meeting to discuss the issue of the educational institution.
He made it clear that Congress must request complete information from the administration of the years in question to the UAS to make an exhaustive analysis of the situation and give clear accounts to the people of Sinaloa.

“In particular, the UAS is my alma mater and we are concerned because we want it to be in the best situation. More support for the university has been achieved this year, but I think we must see how, together, we can solve these problems that the institution is presenting”.
