The dynamics of the tragic accident that cost Giuseppe Mussi his life
Yet another fatal road accident has taken the life of a man. His name was Giuseppe Mussi, he was 59 years old and originally from Villanova d’Ardenghia municipality in the province of Pavia.
According to what emerged from the first reconstructions carried out regarding the incident, late yesterday evening, Saturday 5 October, Mussi was driving his Citroen C1. Suddenly, for reasons still being investigated by the police, the man is ended up with the car in a canal overturning in the open countryside of the municipal area of Gropello.
From the first investigations carried out, it would appear that Mussi has lost consciousness due to the strong impact, thus being unable to escape from the passenger compartment of his car. A 60-year-old woman was also traveling with him and managed to save herself and alert the emergency services.
The arrival of help
Once the alarm was raised, the 118 emergency services promptly arrived at the site of the tragic event. However, despite desperate attempts to resuscitate Mussi, the medics were unable to save his life. They could therefore only confirm that he had died.
In addition to the health workers, the emergency services also arrived on site carabinieri from the Gambolò station to carry out all the necessary investigations and ascertain the actual dynamics of the accident.
The investigators would have excluding the involvement of other cars in the accident. It would therefore appear that the 59-year-old did it all alone, going off the road with his car near a curve.
After ending up in the watercourse, the victim lost consciousness due to the violent impact. The car then rested on the driver’s side and in a short time the passenger compartment completely filled with water, causing Mussi’s death by drowning.
