A truly heartbreaking episode is what happened yesterday evening, in the Scampia area of ​​Naples. Unfortunately the balcony of the Sky Sail It collapsed suddenly, causing two deaths and 13 injured people, including 7 children.

As is standard practice in these cases, all investigations are now underway on the incident. However, anyone who was at home at the time remained blocked. At the moment the Fire Brigade is working to create a safe path to allow everyone to get out.

The drama unfolded shortly after the 10.30pm last night, Monday 22nd July. The balcony would have collapsed right into the Vela Celeste, the only one that remained intact, after they arranged the demolition of the Green one. The inhabitants of that building are still waiting for the construction of the new houses, in the project “Restart Scampia.”

It is not yet clear why, but a hallway of iron has given way and it is one of those that cross the entire building and that lead to the floors. It would have been the one of the third floor to collapse and subsequently ended up on the second floor and together they reached the first floor. The toll of this collapse is at the moment heartbreaking.

In addition to the police, the Fire Brigade and the health workers also arrived on site. They all started working together to try to help the people involved. Unfortunately, at the moment the victims should be two and they would be: Roberto Abruzzo 28 years old, father of a very young child and Margaret of Reason aged 35.

The boy who apparently lived in an apartment in the building, worked as a butcher nearby and left a little daughter at a young age. In addition, there are 13 people who are currently injured.

A 25 year old woman is now hospitalized in Cardarelliin desperate conditions. Two other women are in the same hospital with her, but they do not appear to be in life-threatening. Now all that remains is to wait for further investigations into the case.
