The father, who was initially investigated on charges of manslaughter, would not have been the one to pull the trigger by mistake. It was he who reconstructed the story in front of the investigators during the night, which took place at about half past four yesterday afternoon.
The man, former councilor and coroner, will still have to answer for failure to keep weapons and for having placed the rifle in the hands of his son, which he kept at home along with a dozen other rifles and pistols. It is not clear at the moment why the weapon, which hit the young woman in the chest, killing her immediately, was loaded.
