The three probers Wissing, Klingbeil and Kellner kept a low profile at the press conference on Tuesday. Is a traffic light coalition even conceivable?
Berlin – The explorers of the SPD, FDP and Greens have been negotiating for several days on the most important points of contention for a possible traffic light coalition. The main topics here are the targeted tax and climate policy. The three parties have to find a compromise in these areas – they are currently “on the right track”, explains SPD General Secretary Lars Klingbeil. FDP boss Lindner, on the other hand, speaks of a “heavy mood”.

The explorers want to have come to an agreement by Friday. Then the parties should decide whether to start official coalition negotiations on the basis of the exploratory talks. Wednesday and Thursday negotiations are only held in small groups, because Olaf Scholz is traveling to a meeting of finance ministers in Washington.
On the part of the Greens, a small party congress would first have to approve the official start of coalition negotiations. According to Federal Managing Director Michael Kellner, next Sunday would be conceivable for this decision.

SPD Vice Kevin Kühnert said in the ARD’s “Morgenmagazin” that he was expecting an agreement this year. With a little swipe in the direction of the Union, he also said: “The talks have now started well, very trusting. Nothing leaks out. That is an important basis for it to go smoothly. ”
The CDU / CSU have recently been criticized because alleged content was only leaked from discussions in which the Union was involved. Those involved repeatedly point out the importance of trust and confidentiality within the exploratory group.
