Dutch authorities advise citizens who need to travel to Belgium to postpone their trip. The situation has instead returned to the Belgian capital, where calm has returned after the protests staged by the 1300 tractors present yesterday. Some blocks are also recorded in Wallonia.
The Belgian Prime Minister, Alexander De Croo, has appealed to farmers to remove the roadblocks, which have been ongoing for days across the country. «The signal has been given. We have received it both at federal and EU level. Today it will be the Flemish government's turn. There is a commitment to continue working together in the coming weeks. I think the time has come to remove the blocks.” «Our approach – he continues – was to start the consultations while others asked to send the army».
