Vandals have smeared the sign on the Jesolo seafront, named after Federica Pellegrini, with offenses
Federica Pellegrini it certainly doesn’t need big introductions. The extraordinary and legendary career as an athlete and Olympic champion is well inscribed in the recent history of our country. But as you know, haters never sleep and in recent days they have decided to take it out on the strongest Italian swimmer of all time. Here’s what they did.
Five consecutive finals in five consecutive Olympics. Gold medals, victories at world, European, Italian championships and plenty of records. A career however appreciable also in television field and, currently, the prestigious position of member of the Olympic Committee international. A role she has held since last summer, when 1,658 voted her to fill this role.
In short, at only 34 years old Federica Pellegrini has accumulated life experiences that have inevitably led her to be a real icon in Italy.
Yet, as anticipated, the haters they were able to take it out on her too.
Yesterday morning, Jesolo she woke up with a surprise which was quite welcome to Pellegrini and to all her supporters.
One or more bad guys have smeared the road sign which indicates the promenade dedicated to Federica, modifying it with insulting and extremely offensive phrases.
On the original sign was written: “Lungomare Federica Pellegrini, Olympic swimming champion“, While in that modified: “That tr *** of Federica Pellegrini, Olympic champion of arrogance and mythomania“.
Federica Pellegrini’s hard outburst on social media
Immediately the fact was reported to the local authorities, who quickly removed the sign. But inevitably the photos of the cartel itself began to circulate on the web, naturally also coming to the attention of the authorities and of Federica herself.
Upon hearing the news, the former swimmer wanted to register a video in which he rightly vents for what happened.
Pellegrini said to herself sorry, especially since the episode took place in one of the cities to which it is most linked. City where she often finds herself passing and spending her days.
But Federica is also regretted, not so much for the adjectives arrogant and mythomaniac, which she considers to be mere opinions, but all the more for the first offense, a term that does not belong to her at all. And above all not accepted as it came from people who, most likely, do not know it at all.
On this occasion, Federica wanted to thank even all those who have demonstrated them solidarity in these days. Among these, in addition to all his fans, also Luca Zaia, governor of the Veneto region.
