Faced with traveling fever and restless asses hooked on flight search engines, Santi Rodríguez has something to say: “Like in one’s house … nowhere.” This is the title of the comedian for the show that tomorrow will take to the Juan Baños de Las Torres de Cotillas Auditorium, within the Nights of the Towers Festival.
«The foreigner is very beautiful but he is far away and they speak very strangely. I’ve always said it, like in one’s home … nowhere. Anyway you have to travel whenever you can. Meeting people from all over the world is fine », says the comedian about his monologue, and continues like this:« Most of them are very nice people, although since you don’t know what they are talking about, they are smiling at you while they tell you that they are going to charge us the double because we are tourists ». And it is that «the curious thing about going out is that you become a tourist without realizing it and the tourists stop being it because they are from there, where you are from».
A walk around the world and the peculiarities of each culture that takes place during an hour and a half of show. A ‘show’ that has been running for five years and that the artist reconciles with his latest theatrical creation, ‘Infarto. Do not go to the light ‘, which arose as a result of the comedian mocking death in 2018, which made him consider the meaning of life and vowed to enjoy this second chance.
Two decades have passed since Santi Rodríguez appeared for the first time in Telecinco’s fiction ‘Seven lives’ embodying ‘Frutero’, a character that has marked his career. Since then, he has become one of the best-known whiskers on the screen, appearing in various movies and television series. His different interventions in ‘El club de la comedia’, already gave clues to everything that this genius of humor could offer.
