D.he spectator at the Tour de France, who became known as a cardboard sign woman, will have to answer to court in autumn. As the “L’Équipe” reported on Friday, the trial against the 30-year-old will take place on October 14th. The woman was taken into custody on Wednesday and released on Friday morning.
On the first stage of this year’s tour, the spectator had held a cardboard sign on the street and thus unintentionally triggered a mass fall. First, she had left the scene of the accident, but surrendered on Wednesday. She is accused of endangering public health and possibly also endangering human life. The woman faces a maximum of two years in prison and a fine of 30,000 euros.
