The man went missing after Israeli air strikes in the Lebanese capital Beirut, two senior Iranian security officials told the news agency Reuters.

When asked whether Ghaani died in the Israeli attack, an Israeli military spokesman said the results of the attacks were not yet available. Israel had attacked Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters in Beirut in recent days. It is still unclear who was there at the time of the attack.
According to that Institute for the Study of War Some Iranian officials and pro-government media have called on the regime to officially confirm whether Ghaani is still alive.
