It has been known for some time that the relationship between Fedez and Tony Effe was not the best. Now, however, the tension between the two explodes in a harsh exchange of rhymes. A dissing in which other well-known names in Italian music also come into play.
First up is Tony Effe, who – participating in the series 64 Bars, known for hosting some of the most famous dissing of the Italian rap scene – publicly attacked Fedez. “Chiara says she adores me”, is the title of the freestyle performed by the rapper: a clear reference to the rumors circulating in recent months about an alleged flirtation between him and his colleague’s ex-wife, Chiara Ferragni.
Tony Effe then takes aim at Fedez’s branded drink (“I drank it and it disgusts me”) and his collaboration with Nicky Savage in the new single “Di Caprio” (“You asked my bad copy”). “You do charity but you’re still a slimy guy,” the rapper attacks again. Who then, in a story on Instagram, publishes a photo of Fedez together with some police officers accompanied by the writing “I’m waiting for you, Pinocchio”. And again, in another story, a white writing on a black background: “Never wake up a sleeping dog”.
Fedez’s reply arrived shortly after. “Don’t wake up the sleeping dog, it’ll be a mess,” he wrote ironically in a story on Instagram. And in another story he showed his middle finger accompanied by the caption “The dog meowed. Fix your perm, I’m coming, beautiful.”
Fedez also posted a video from his concert at the Reggio Live Fest in Reggio Calabria, where he changed the lyrics of his song “Di Caprio” like this: in a direct way: “Will you leave me your pocket money? No, I’m not DiCaprio, but you’re Tony Effe”.
The colleague replies in turn, always via Instagram, with a video: “Bro – he says – I put you in difficulty, I gave you problems in your useless career. You can’t be my son because you’re stupid. Now I’m waiting for your boss’s response”.
It should be noted that Tony Effe’s video from which the dissing started was welcomed by the likes of several leading names in the Italian music scene, including Emma Marrone, Gue Pequeno and Rosa Chemical. In the feud against Fedez, showgirl Belen Rodriguez, influencers Chiara Blasi, Veronica Ferrer and Fedez’s former colleague Luis Sal also sided with Tony.
