The activities of the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Quran Competition in its fifth edition will conclude tomorrow, where the closing ceremony will be held and honoring the winners of the first ten places and all the participants in the competition, who represent 50 countries and Muslim communities in the world, who competed for six days and presented for recitation before an international jury.
The jury included eminent sheikhs and scholars with great experience in the field of arbitration of Qur’anic competitions. They are Sheikh Dr. Ali Muhammad bin Atif from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as the head of the committee, and Sheikh Dr. Salem Muhammad Al-Dobi from the United Arab Emirates as the vice-chairman of the committee, and the membership of each of the Sheikh Abdullah Muhammad Al-Ansari from the Emirates, Sheikh Mahmoud Zaki Mahmoud from Egypt, Sheikh Syed Aqil Hussain from Indonesia, and Sheikh Ahmed Abdul Qayyum bin Abd Rab Al-Nabi from Pakistan.
The closing ceremony is scheduled to include a variety of paragraphs, including selected recitations for a number of participants, and a documentary film about the previous sessions of the Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak International Holy Quran Competition, to a speech by Counselor Ibrahim Mohammed Bumelha, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Dubai International Holy Quran Award.
It is noteworthy that the organizing committee allocated valuable financial prizes and certificates of appreciation to all participants in the competition.
