Mexico.- For today, the tropical storm “Celia” it will continue to move west-northwest, gradually moving away from national coasts; However, its circulation will continue to generate heavy rain on the west of the national territory and in Baja California Sur. In turn, strong gusts of wind and high waves are expected on the coasts of Baja California Sur, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco and Colima.
On the other hand, a low pressure channel that will extend from the northwest to the center of the national territory and its interaction with the entry of moisture from the Pacific Ocean favored by the circulation of “Celia”, will cause showers and punctual rains strong in the northwest, accompanied by electric shocks in the states of the Mesa del Norte, in addition to possible hailstorms in the center, south and southeast of the country.
The new wave tropical #7 will enter over Quintana Roo. As it moves westward, it will interact with an extended low-pressure channel in the southwestern Gulf of Mexico, which will cause showers in entities in eastern Mexico and the south of the Yucatan Peninsula and strong punctual rains accompanied by electric discharges in the southeast of the country.
Finally, a mid-level anticyclonic circulation over the southern United States, will keep the daytime environment warm to hot on the west of the Yucatan Peninsula, northwest, north and northeast of the Mexican Republic; with very hot evening temperatures, from 40 to 45 °C in areas of Sonora and extremely hot maximums, above 45 °C in areas of Baja California.
