The Short circuit returns today in its new edition, our wait weekly column that comes back in live on Twitch starting from 17:00 with the new formula, now with more Pierpaolo Greco, Alessio Pianesani and Francesco Serino than before. Great arguments and above all great discussions are looming for this afternoon, let’s see what it will be this time.
L’subject it is mainly one and it touches us very closely: “The hard (and anachronistic) job of the videogame reviewer”, a question that has recently made a comeback starting from some discussions also raised by famous overseas newspapers.
Pierpaolo, Alessio and Francesco, from 17 to 18.30, will discuss in the company of Giuseppe Grossi of Movieplayer, special guest of this episode, what it means today to review a video game. The argument starts from the famous Washington Post article published this week, which highlights a whole series of problems, shortcomings and deficiencies of today’s criticism, also deriving from the symbiotic relationship that exists between this and the video game industry.
Obviously, the matter will be approached in the Short-circuit way: with a debate very heated and violent, which will also make parallels with the way of reviewing films and series (on which Giuseppe will enlighten us in particular) and will try to highlight really existing critical elements and problems that are instead only apparent.
Of course there will also be space for your questions and messages, which you can send in written or oral form, by subscribing to our Telegram group. We will broadcast as much as possible live!
You can follow it streaming within this news, in the dedicated box or directly on ours Twitch channel, possibly using the official app on iOS and Android. Register to receive notifications related to new videos!
