Alejandro Sanz has always liked the Mexican universe and for this reason it was a matter of time before a collaboration like the one between ‘I’m not feeling well today’the new song with Grupo Frontera, which is finally available on digital platforms.

Grupo Frontera is one of the greatest exponents of Mexican music, a country very loved and admired by Alejandro in every way. The constant effort to reach new creative heights is one of the main characteristics of this formation that has worked with artists such as Peso Pluma, Shakira, Carin Leon or Bad Bunny, with whom they released the hit ‘un x100to’. They recently won their first Latin Grammy Award for Best Northern Album for El Comienzo.

The collaboration on Today I Don’t Feel Good arose organically and naturally for both artists. In the words of Grupo Frontera: «For us to work on a song like “Hoy no me siempre bien” with an artist of the stature of Alejandro Sanz gives us a lot of pride because we have infinite respect for him (…) We are delighted with the final result. The fusion of genres gives a brutal dimension to the song and the fact that we were able to work hand in hand with him and Edgard allowed us to add a piece of our musical imagination to the song in a very natural way.

In the same way as with ‘Palm Trees in the Garden’, ‘Today I Don’t Feel Good’ is accompanied by a very special video clip directed by director Greg Ohrel. Ohrel already directed the brilliant audiovisual piece of the previous release and for this reason it is not surprising that the Spanish singer and composer wanted to have him again. On this occasion, Sanz’s intention was to recreate a neighborhood party in the purest Mexican style.

The new song – Sanz’s second since joining Sony Music – features production by Edgar Barrera, probably the number one producer in the context of the current Latin market. Also noteworthy is the participation in the arrangements of Luis Miguel Gómez Castaño Casta, who little by little is becoming one of the “usual suspects” in the Spanish artist’s team.

Alejandro Sanz’s premiere in his new home was with ‘Palmeras en el Jardín’, a song with the unmistakable stamp of an artist recognized internationally as a music legend. With that release he began the path of what will soon become his new album, of which we will learn more details in the coming weeks.

Sanz is one of the most admired Spanish artists on the international scene and the most awarded of all time, with 22 Latin Grammys, four Grammys under his belt and a Billboard for his career, among many other awards.

From his debut in 1991 with ‘Viviendo deprisa’ to his latest studio album, ‘SANZ’, released in December 2021, he has conquered the world’s stages, with more than 25 million records sold and all of his albums certified with multiple Records of Platinum.
