A court in the Krasnodar Territory has arrested 44-year-old blogger and TikTok star Alexei Shchetinin, who was previously detained on suspicion of murder, theft and assault on police officers. This was announced on Saturday, January 22, in the joint press service of the courts of the region.
“Having considered the materials, the court took into account the fact that the defendant is accused of committing especially serious crimes and was on the international wanted list, hiding from law enforcement agencies. With regard to the man, a preventive measure was chosen in the form of detention for a period of 1 month until February 20, 2022, ”the press service said.
Shchetinin is suspected of committing attacks in order to steal other people’s property, murder and violating the secrecy of telephone conversations and correspondence. Punishment for these crimes is provided for under Articles 162, 105 and 138 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
These crimes could have been committed in October last year, Izvestia found out. In the same month, Shchetinin ran away from home and was put on the federal wanted list.
As the blogger’s wife said on October 19, in the evening before the disappearance, the husband behaved calmly, and in the morning, when law enforcement officers came to the house, the husband was gone. She added that before leaving, Alexey Shchetinin left the phone at home.
In addition, the woman expressed confidence that her husband could not be involved in the crimes, moreover, according to her, the neighbors speak of him only as a good person.
