The social network TikTok confirmed this week that it is testing with a restricted set of users the integration of a new feature on the social network: stories that disappear after 24 hours, a concept created by Snapchat and popularized by Instagram.

The information was first released in a tweet by Matt Navarro, a social media consultant, and later confirmed by the Chinese company to The Verge. This feature allows users to publish content available only for 24 hours and is already implemented in several rival social networks, such as the two already mentioned, as well as Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, WhatsApp, among others.
“We are always thinking of new ways to bring value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience. We are currently testing ways to give creators additional formats to bring their creative ideas to the TikTok community”, can be read in the company’s press release sent to Engadget.
