On offering an amount of /280,000/ as a bribe to a customs official in order to pass the prohibited goods.
The seizures came in cooperation with the partners from the concerned authorities in light of the authority receiving a proactive news about an attempt to enter suspicious shipments with a total of / 14 containers / through the port of Fujairah with the aim of storing them in a warehouse in the country and then selling them in the local markets illegally.
Based on the joint coordination operations with the Ministry of Interior and the local authorities in the Emirate of Fujairah, the targeted containers were seized using modern inspection devices backed by the expertise and efficiency of the regulatory cadres specialized in customs inspection, as well as the professional arrest of the persons involved in providing bribery in return for entering these shipments and evading fees and assessed taxes.
