Finally, the SMI will rise 4.41% going from 1134 euros per month at 1184 in 14 payments. Specifically, 50 euros more. In total, the increase will involve 16,576 euros gross per year.
Díaz has defended that it is a “key to reduce inequality and labor poverty.” The minimum wage has been increasing in recent years to exceed 950 euros per month of 2020 to 1184 euros once it is approved in the Council of Ministers and moved to the BOE.
Minimum wages in the European Union
In the European Union, as Eurostat points out, 22 of the 27 countries that compose it have a minimum wage. The European Statistical Office indicates, in its data extracted in January 2025, which Minimum wages are between 551 euros and 2,638 euros per month.
