Two people required health care after a brawl in the Huerto de la Rueda
Three women have claimed to have suffered punctures at the Lorca fair, one of them in the young tent of the Huerto de la Rueda, but in only one of the cases has it been possible to see the wound on the skin. The Councilor for Security, José Luis Ruiz, told LA TRUTH this Sunday.
He added that the toxicological analyzes of the three women have had a negative result, so it is ruled out that they have been injected with any drug or chemical substance. Ruiz said he was aware that one of the victims would file a complaint about the events.
These three women join the four young women who also claimed to have suffered punctures at the Huerto de la Rueda small fair during a concert.
Ruiz also reported that two drunken men required health care this morning after participating in a brawl at the fairgrounds.
The event took place in the vicinity of one of the beach bars when one of those involved in the altercation received a superficial cut with a knife and he responded to his aggressor with a punch that made him fall to the ground and remain in a semi-conscious state, also due to the effect of the alcohol he had consumed, according to Ruiz. Both were slightly injured.
The agents also dissolved another brawl last night in the attraction of electric cars and avoided some outbreaks of fights at the different points where the fair takes place.
Expelled from the fair
The police expelled more than 50 people last night from the youth tent of the Huerto de la Rueda where the bars for drinks are located and the Sun Fest II Edition concert was held for aggressive and uncivil behavior or for presenting a marked state of drunkenness. Others were prevented from entering.
The mayor recalled that the police presence has been reinforced this year in the youth tent of the Huerto de la Rueda with a watchtower to have an overview of this space.
In addition, to control access, the agents use the canine unit to prevent drug trafficking and consumption and a metal detector. The surroundings of some attractions where conflicts usually occur and other points in the outdoor area and car parks have been specially lit to discourage the practice of drinking.
The Councilor for Security highlighted the “splendid work” of the police during the days of celebration of the fair that closes this Sunday.
