Three graduate students at the University of Tokyo were stabbed before an exam. This became known on Saturday, January 15th.
The attacker, a 17-year-old high school student, was detained on the spot, the TV channel reports. NHK.
Two 18-year-old high school students and a 72-year-old man who were standing at the gates of the university before the entrance exams were injured. They were stabbed, but are conscious, they were taken to the hospital. They were reportedly stabbed in the back with a kitchen knife, but the older man is likely to have a more serious injury.
The police are investigating the causes and circumstances of the incident.
On October 31, at least 15 people were injured when a man wielded a knife on a subway train on the Keio Line in western Tokyo. In addition, there was smoke in the train. According to the preliminary version, the attacker spilled flammable liquid after the attack and set it on fire.
