Yesterday morning, 24 hours after those of Alessio and Simone, the funerals of Flavia and Valerio were also celebrated
And after the last farewell that Fonte Nuova reserved for Alessio and Simone last Friday, yesterday it was the turn of Flavia and Valerio, two other of the five boys who lost their lives on January 27 in the terrible crash that took place on the Nomentana. This morning, however, the funeral of the fifth victim, Giulia Sclavo, was celebrated in the Talenti district of Rome.
A sea of people gathered once again in the church of Jesus Master of New Source and in the square in front.
A sea, like the good that everyone wanted to the five boys who disappeared in last Friday’s accident.
A sea, like the pain that will accompany the five families who were turned upside down on a winter evening that was supposed to be like many others and which instead turned into an absolute tragedy.
The pastor 24 hours after the funeral of Alessio and Simone, he found himself celebrating that of Valerio and Flavia, two other very young people who disappeared too soon.
The many who wanted participate to the pain of the families of Flavia and Valerio they did it with a very noisy silence, making dozens of birds fly into the sky white balloons and dedicating to the two young souls a long and painful applause.
The procession for Flavia and Valerio
Flavia and Valerio were very close, as also told by the 17-year-old’s mother a few days ago. They knew each other as children and they spent a lot of time together, until the last of their breaths.
“No one ever dies if they live in the hearts of those who stay“, reads one banner hanging outside the church. “Your smile will be our best memory“, on another.
After the ceremony, the two coffins aboard the hearses drove a long way procession which crossed Fonte Nuova, also along the Nomentana.
Behind the wagons, the cars in which the two families traveled in tears. Particularly touching moment where the cars and all the people behind them have just passed in front of the accident site.
In the afternoon, again at Fonte Nuova, one was held torchlight to once again remember the five boys.
This morning, however, in the Talents district of Rome the funeral of the fifth victim, the seventeen year old, was celebrated Giulia Sclavo.
